_pricing-and-options-new-subaru-forester-suv-2025.webp "2025 Subaru Forester Gets Big Price Hikes Across The Board, Starts At $29,695<br/><br/>Subaru has announced the 2025 Forester will arrive at U.S. dealerships this spring and start at $29,695 before fees.<br/><br/>Five trim levels will be available and the range-topping Touring will set you back $39,995.<br/><br/>All Foresters have all-wheel drive, a continuously variable transmission, and a 2.5-liter engine with 180 hp.<br/><br/>The 2025 Subaru Forester is granola personified and you can pick one up this spring. However, it’ll be significantly more expensive that the model it replaces, with pricing now starting at $29,695, excluding a $1,395 delivery and destination fee. This translates to a $2,600 increase, or nearly 10% more for the base version compared to the outgoing 2024 model year. Meanwhile, the rest of the lineup sees price hikes ranging from $1,700 to $2,630, equating to a 5.6% to 8.3% increase.<br/><br/>At the base of the range you’ll find LED headlights, roof rails, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, there are analog gauges and a compact 4.2-inch multi-information display. Additionally, the Forester gets dual 7-inch displays and a four-speaker audio system.<br/><br/>Highlights are few and far between, but the base model has power windows and locks as well as a dual-zone automatic climate control system. Buyers will also find cloth seats with blue contrast stitching as well as a hexagonal pattern. The latter is echoed on the simulated leather dash.<br/><br/><br/>Despite being relatively basic on comfort features, the entry-level Forester comes with adaptive cruise control, a lane centering system, and pre-collision braking. They’re joined by lane departure warning / prevention, a rearview camera, high beam assist, and a rear seat reminder.<br/><br/>The Forester Premium begins at $31,995 and is well-worth the price of admission over the base trim as it adds some relatively basic features such as rear privacy glass, illuminated vanity mirrors, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.<br/><br/>That’s just the tip of the iceberg as the model has LED fog lights, a panoramic moonroof, heated exterior mirrors, and a windshield wiper deicer. Bigger changes occur inside as the model has a 10-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats, and a wireless smartphone charger. They’re joined by an 11.6-inch infotainment system, a six-speaker audio system, a fancier instrument cluster, upgraded upholstery, and a keyless access system with a push-button ignition.<br/><br/>The optimistically named Forester Sport begins at $34,495 and feels like it’s from the Bronze Age in more ways than one. Jokes aside, the model has bronze exterior accents as well as 19-inch alloy wheels with a bronze finish. _carrera-exclusive-six-cylinder-911-carrera-s39s-sportiest-chassis-new-porsche-911-carrera-t-2024.webp "It represents Porsche returning to sprinkle new intrigue into the more affordable end of the 911 range, between the launch of the quarter-million-pound special edition and the next.<br/><br/>Here the T stands for Touring, but '911 Lightweight' would perhaps be a better descriptor for this car, as simplicity is what saves weight and appeals to the driver.<br/><br/>Sitting between the standard Carrera and the well-established Carrera S, the T risked becoming a somewhat half-hearted, middling model with no clear raison d'être. However, Porsche has given the vehicle some special equipment features and an uncompromising character definition.<br/><br/>DESIGN AND STYLE<br/>Porsche 911 Carrera T is easiest to describe as the sportiest chassis of the 911 Carrera S, with its less powerful, 380 hp Carrera-specific six-cylinder at the rear. But while broadly lifelike, this omits many of the finer details that set this car apart.<br/><br/>Porsche adds the 10mm lowered PASM Sport adaptive damping suspension to the entry-level 911 Carrera, which is usually only available as an option from the Carrera S trim level upwards. Also added as standard are Carrera S 20/21-inch alloys, active sports exhaust, PTV mechanical locking rear differential and Porsche's Sport Chrono Package (with dynamic engine mounts). You can optionally add four-wheel steering, but PDCC active anti-roll bars are not offered.<br/><br/>Porsche uses the seven-speed manual transmission as standard, which it added to the 911 Carrera S shortly after the launch of the '992' generation car. This makes the Carrera T the only 911 yet available to combine Porsche's 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine with a three-pedal transmission.<br/><br/>Carrera T has Sport-Tex fabric upholstered front seats as standard instead of Carrera's leather seats, but its default equipment does not include '+2' rear seats. It has lightweight glass, a lightweight battery, and is stripped of most of the 992's soundproofing insulation.<br/><br/>As such, the Carrera T's homologated curb weight is 1470kg without fuel or driver; That's just 52kg heavier than the three-pedal 911 GT3, but just 10kg lighter than the comparable Carrera S.<br/><br/>The Carrera T's signature Agate Gray appears on most of the fascia trim; For an extra fee, you can add Slate Gray seat belts, seat details and carpet stitching. However, there is no dedicated short-throw gear lever here. The matte black touches, including 911 Carrera T-branded sill plates, are pleasantly understated, but there's little that feels truly different or special from other 911s.<br/><br/>The primary control layout and ergonomic implementation are mostly very good. A low, well-supported riding position has all the room even tall drivers will need. The steering column is set wide and the pedal placement is slightly offset on the inside of the wheel arch.
